Eco Delight Kit: Perfect V-Day Gift!

The Blonde thinks it’s Delight-ful:

delight g-spot vibrator gift setIn the Eco Delight kit, Babeland has created a user-friendly, attractive group of products designed to gently initiate those of us who are new to the world of pleasure toys, and delight those of us looking to add new toys to our collection. The kit includes three natural rubber condoms, Babeland’s organic lube, a soy wax scented candle (that turns into massage oil when burned), and the Fun Factory Delight vibrator.

Mamba Condoms
I had never encountered “natural rubber” condoms before, so I decided to really put them to the test. The material feels a bit thicker than comon latex condoms, and when subjected to a variety of “stress tests” (stretching, withstanding punctures, being filled with water and flung against hard surfaces), Mamba condoms withstood rigorous abuse much better than normal store-bought brands. Additional benefits include a more natural feel and less tendency to slip off during creative positions and heavy lube (they’re sized to fit a bit more snugly than most condoms).

Even better, the material didn’t aggravate my latex allergies like regular condoms! So if you are sensitive to latex too, but don’t like using polyurethane condoms, these might be perfect for you. The only drawback I found was a rather over-powering rubber smell. Good thing the lube was scented!

Babeland Naked Organic Lube
And yes, the lube. Ahh, the lube! One doesn’t regularly think of all the many wonderful things about lube besides the whole “insert object into tight spaces” use. Well, I’ve clearly never been properly educated. Babeland’s organic Naked lube is possibly the best lube I have ever tried. Initially I was slightly put off by the thick “gel” consistency, but not for long.

The natural ingredients provide exceptional lubrication without losing sensation. You never encounter the “oops, too much lube” problem, where you suddenly feel nothing but squish instead of sensation. It’s lightly scented with vanilla and citrus, for a pleasant but subtle smell. As a water-based lube, it’s fully condom (and toy) compatible. And one of the best things about Naked lube is clean-up: If you happen to miss a spot somewhere, it absorbs into your skin instead of gluing your skin to the bedsheets or leaving squishy spots behind in the morning.

Soy Massage Candle
The soy wax massage candle is wonderfully scented with an exotic combination of floral notes (”rice flower” is the scent included in the kit). When lit, it gently fills the room with fragrance, while the wax melts into a decent massage “oil”. When you use the wax for a massage though, be careful not to ruin your foreplay if you drip the wax directly onto your partner. Either hold the candle about a foot away from their skin, or drip it into the palm of your hand and then rub it on their body. (And keep in mind that it does leave a slight waxy residue if you don’t massage it in very thoroughly, or hop in the shower afterward.)

Delight G-Spot Vibe
And the best part of the kit has to be the Delight g-spot vibrator! Fun Factory’s Delight is quickly replacing my other toys as my absolute, any-mood, any-where favorite. Let’s hear it for German engineering!

The Delight is a lovely elongated S shape, with a vibrating silicone head and neck flowing into a hard plastic handle with integrated control buttons. It’s visually pleasing, weighty enough to transmit vibrations extremely well, and fits perfectly in your hand while you’re using it. It features 8 basic vibration levels ranging from gentle foreplay to “cum NOW, please,” and after you cycle through the 8 basic levels, the Delight has 3 crescendo patterns in varying speeds and levels of intensity.

The Delight is perfectly shaped for g-spot or prostate stimulation, with an additional bump inside the first curve that provides extra stimulation for the vaginal opening or perineum while inserted, and the body curves back to provide clitoral stimulation when you move it just right. And when you’re not using it, it has a nice, discreet storage case that doubles as a battery charger. That’s right! No AA batteries and no power cord to get in your way. Woo hoo!

In short, the Delight is a beautifully made and very functional toy. I love it! Surprise your partner with this gift set on Valentine’s Day, and make some sparks fly!

and another perspective from Hardware Annie:

First of all, what an adorable gift set! Inside the Eco Delight Kit you’ll find a Delight g-spot vibe, a bottle of Babeland’s own Naked Lube, one of their soy-based massage candles (and matches), and three vegan Mamba latex condoms, all wrapped up in a recycled paper gift bag studded with wild flower seeds! I’m planting mine outside our kitchen window =)

So to my surprise, the Delight found in the Eco Delight Kit did not rock my world much at all. Shaped like an “S”, it’s supposed to hit your g-spot and clit at the same time, while curling around your pelvic bone to make it easy on your wrist to use, best used with a back and forth rocking motion. When the end is hitting my g-spot, the clit stimulating nub is basically inside me and I don’t get enough stimulation, and when it is lined up with my clit, it hits a very uncomfortable spot up against my pelvic bone. Perhaps my g-spot is abnormally far back, but otherwise this is quite the toy! With 11 vibrations options (including three pulsating vibrations) easily accessed with a clear “+” and “-” buttons that light up and a hard plastic carrying case that it recharges in, it really is a good toy. It did get me off, just not they way it’s intended to (I just used the end directly on my clit). Overall I’d say this is quite the toy, just not for me =)

Ah Naked Lube, while most lubes either burn (I know, that’s probably just me) and/or feel like three extra condoms were just added to the mix, this stuff is pretty good (I had forgot we had used it, even). Just be conservative about the amount, otherwise you end up with a tacky crotch ; ) As for the taste, as my boyfriend so apptly put it, “There’s a candy that tastes like this…” And it’s 99% vegan! So, ya know, it’s not vegan =P

Now the massage candle, while a good idea (I love hot wax, I love massages, I was pretty excited albeit curious as to how stayed an oil after being a candle), is purely a novelty toy. Perhaps if the got something with a lower melting point and warned their customers not to take the candle into a warm room or something, maybe, but as it is, the stuff solidifies quickly into the massage. It still felt great on my end, but my boyfriend commented on wads of wax building up between his fingers and how tacky it got. And at the end I certainly noticed the feeling of a back covered in a thin layer of wax. I still plan to use it as a candle (I love the smell), but that’s about it =)

The Mamba condoms get my seal of approval. Soft, not crinkly like Trojans, as my boyfriend puts it. And I agree, they’s more comfortable than most condoms. Natural, they’re not silly colors (something I never quite appreciated in condoms, heh). And while the lube isn’t flavored, it isn’t offensive either (though, I personally find flavored lubes a bt off-putting as it is).
